The quality history of Heritage Envelopes Ltd can be traced to its inception in 1985. The founding partners used their considerable experience in the envelope manufacturing sector to devise new systems of quality control. The central theme of this was to ensure absolute consistency of raw material supply and the strict adherence to a checking system.

This system was added to and developed as the company expanded, and culminated in the award of BS 5750 in 1994. These same systems are in operation today under the qualification of ISO 9001: 2000. The company is audited bi-annually and will add OHSAS 18001 Health and safety and ISO 14001 environment in an integrated system in 2007.
